Account Executive
Advanced Network Systems is currently seeking motivated sales professionals to become a part of our fast-growing company in the IT network services field.
Headquartered in Charlottesville, Virginia, Advanced Network Systems specializes in the implementation of emerging voice and data network technologies to a growing base of customers in both the private SMB and public sectors. Established in 1996, the company has grown steadily and is currently a valuable resource for many leading organizations that leverage information technology to enhance their operations.

The Position:
As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving new business revenue growth from existing accounts and prospecting for new business in a variety of vertical markets. This position will require that you be a driven, self-motivated individual who is also willing to receive guidance and direction as you serve as the primary link between our engineering group and the client.
Key Qualifications:
- Technical sales experience or knowledge of information technology products within the areas of data networking or business telephone systems highly desired.
- A proven track record B2B sales with past experience in outside sales, prospecting, and account management. Minimum of 5 years sales experience —2 years minimum in outside sales.
- Excellent consultative selling skills with the ability to identify client needs.
- Ability to manage large client base while meeting new sales objectives.
- Ability to think independently and create solutions for client and company goals. -Excellent prospecting and closing skills with a thorough understanding of the sales call process.
- Ability to grow existing business and develop positive and strategic working relationships with current accounts.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, including the confidence to explain the basics of technology and product usage to clients and to present detailed proposals.
- Have the unique combination of being independent and self-motivated, while proactively staying connected to the corporate office.
- Must live within 1 hour commute of corporate office in Charlottesville, Virginia.
- Must be able to work in the field Monday-Friday, 8 to 5. This job will require a varying combination of office work and some travel, including trade shows and conferences as required by corporate.
- Must be highly organized with excellent time management skills.
