Account Executive – Southwest Virginia

Our Company:
Advanced Network Systems delivers a wide range of professional IT services and network technology solutions (data/voice/video) to a growing base of customers in the SMB and local government markets. Established in 1996, our Virginia-based company has grown steadily and is currently a leading provider of business-to-business technology solutions in the region.

We offer a very competitive compensation package including base salary plus commission and additional milestone performance bonuses. The Position:
This Account Executive is responsible for driving new business revenue in southwest Virginia and West Virginia by establishing new accounts and cultivating existing accounts across a variety of vertical markets. This position requires a results oriented and self-motivated individual who can successfully serve as both a revenue generator and a relationship builder with our clients/prospective clients.

This position can have a flexible base of operation within the sales territory.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Grow customer base within the territory.
  • Meet and exceed territory sales and profitability goals.
  • Discuss and identify customer’s IT needs and provide assistance with formulating IT solutions.
  • Make telephone and field calls to present value proposition to existing and potential customers.
  • Manage established accounts; build customer loyalty and provide excellent customer service.
  • Prospect, forecast and close new opportunities.
  • This position requires a varying combination of office work and travel to conduct customer meetings within the sales territory.

Position Requirements:

  • College degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of IT reseller/technology integration business.
  • 2-5 years B2B sales experience. Outside /field experience preferred.
  • A general understanding of network technology and solutions.
  • Ability to sell value-added professional services around hardware/software products.
  • Experience in cold calling, and prospecting new business.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Good organization and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work in the office and in the field (travel) as required.
